Why buy organic foods?
With all the fuzz about what is healthy and what is not, it may seem like just another way to raise animals and make money from selling meat if someone labels the meat as part of organic foods. Fact is there is a huge difference between the organic meat and conventional meat that you purchase at one of the food stores. The same applies for other organic foods.
Organic meat as part of the group of organic foods, is free from antibiotics and the numerous GMO feeds and drugs which make animal meat less than healthy for human consumption. The livestock raised organically may not be fed any of the human growth hormones or any artificial medication.
The livestock is also not fed any genetically engineered foods. This should be good news since so many artificial ingredients are already present in our other foods that we will not want more as part of our meats as well. It also implies that organically raised animals may not have any interference with their genes. Organic foods thus are simply free of all the harmful additives, antibiotics, and drugs which over time cause illnesses in human beings.
The livestock is raised in a clean and healthy environment where they get enough sunshine for stronger bones. The animals are raised on organic feed which include a variety of essential nutrients. No meat that forms part of the organic foods group may be classified such if it has been formed from test tube technology. Healthier meat ensures that you will be healthier when you eat it.
